Ill-Posed and Linear Inverse Problems
In this paper ill-posed linear inverse problems that arises in many applications is considered. The instability of special kind of these problems and it's relation to the kernel, is described. For finding a stable solution to these problems we need some kind of regularization that is presented. The results have been applied for a singular equation.
متن کاملOn Two Problems Posed by Kenneth Stolarsky
Solutions of two slightly more general problems than those posed by Kenneth B. Stolarsky in [10] are presented. The latter deal with a shape preserving approximation, in the uniform norm, of two functions (1/x) log coshx and (1/x) log(sinhx/x), x ≥ 0, by ratios of exponomials. The main mathematical tools employed include Gini means and the Stolarski means.
متن کاملIll-posed problems in thermomechanics
Several thermomechanical models have been proposed from a heuristic point of view. A mathematical analysis should help to clarify the applicability of these models, among those recent thermal or viscoelastic models. Single-phase-lag and dual-phase-lag heat conduction models can be interpreted as formal expansions of delay equations. The delay equations are shown to be ill-posed, as are the form...
متن کاملUsing Ant to Solve Problems Posed by Frequent Deployments
Deploying a system in an agile development environment presents its own set of challenges. If it is true that development cycles are short and that every release is as small as possible, then we are going to be releasing software much more frequently than with other methodologies. Related to this is the concept that the system is never finished, and deployments have to occur throughout the life...
